After an incredible first event on this historic property, Digstock is returning the first weekend of March 2027—to more than 4,500 acres of privately leased land in Northeastern North Carolina.

Last year, this property delivered an incredible collection of historic discoveries, proving just how much history remains beneath the surface.

Hunters uncovered Spanish cobs, whole 8 reales, Bust and Seated coins, Native American artifacts, British relics, North Carolina Revolutionary War buttons, Civil War relics, CSA buckles, and countless other pieces of history spanning hundreds of years.

And one section of the property quickly became known among participants as “Button Hill”—a place that produced an incredible number of historic buttons and other finds and became one of the most talked-about areas of the event.

But Button Hill is only part of the story.

Across this massive property are more than 100 former homesites, historic roads, Native American activity, early colonial river landings, a documented 19th-century mill site, a historic schoolhouse site, and remnants of an early military road associated with movement through the region during the Revolutionary era.

Layer upon layer of history is waiting to be uncovered.

From the earliest inhabitants of the land, to colonial settlers, the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, and generations of families who lived and worked here, this property has seen centuries of American history unfold.

And if last year's finds are any indication, there is still plenty left to discover.
