About the event

The Final Return to Rest-A-Bit Farm

Some sites come around once.

Some come back twice.

This one will never come back again.

Digstock is returning to Rest-A-Bit Farm for the final and last time ever. The landowners have graciously offered this historic property one final opportunity before construction begins and the land — along with everything still hidden beneath it — is lost forever.

This is not hype.

This is the last chance.

📅 December 4, 5, & 6, 2026

⏰ Digging all three days

📍 Opening meeting at 8:00 AM on Friday, December 4

After a short morning briefing, digging will begin — and it won’t stop for the rest of the weekend.

A Proven Site. Legendary Results.

Rest-A-Bit Farm is one of the most productive properties Digstock has ever held an event on. Over the years, this land has produced thousands of high-quality stone artifacts, from finely worked points to tools and trade items that tell the story of generations who lived here long before us.

At our last Digstock event on this property, something rare happened:

👉 Every single participant found artifacts.

Deep Native History

This land was once home to a large Tuscarora village, with smaller Coree tribal networks woven throughout the area. The density and diversity of artifacts recovered here point to long-term habitation, travel corridors, and community activity that spanned generations.

This is not a random field.

This is a place where people lived, worked, traded, and passed through for centuries.

Detectorists — This One’s for You Too

Rest-A-Bit Farm isn’t just for artifact hunters.

Metal detectorists at previous events here recovered dozens of early colonial artifacts, including buttons, relics, and early coinage from multiple areas across the property. The overlap of Native and colonial history makes this site exceptionally unique — and exceptionally rewarding.

Whether you swing a detector, dig for stone, or do both, this land delivers.

Why This Dig Matters

Once construction begins, this land will be permanently altered. The soil will be disturbed, moved, and covered — and the history still waiting to be recovered will be gone forever.

This event isn’t just about finds.

It’s about preserving history before it disappears.

By participating, you are helping recover and document pieces of the past that would otherwise be lost to time and development.

Be There When It Ends

This is the final Digstock at Rest-A-Bit Farm.

No future dates.

No second chances.

No returns.

If you’ve ever wanted to hunt a proven site with real history, real results, and real meaning — this is that event.

Join us for the last dig. Save the history. Once it’s gone, it’s gone forever.
