Cancellation Policy

Detector Rental Policy Last Updated: 08/17/2025 Roots & Relics LLC and Digstock LLC (“Company”) are pleased to offer metal detector rentals to participants who wish to enhance their event experience. By reserving, renting, or using a detector from the Company, you (“Renter”) agree to the following terms and conditions: Reservation & Payment A valid credit or debit card must be placed on file at the time of reservation. No rental may be confirmed without an active card authorization. To secure your rental, the Company will charge a non-refundable hold deposit equal to a percentage of the total rental fee at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due upon pick-up. Upon arrival and issuance of the rental detector, the balance of the rental fee will be automatically charged to the card on file unless an alternative approved payment method is presented. Use of Equipment Renter agrees to use the detector responsibly and only for lawful purposes in accordance with event rules, landowner permissions, and local laws. Renter assumes full responsibility for the equipment during the rental period, including safe handling, transport, and storage. Return & Condition All rented detectors must be returned at the agreed date and time in the same condition as issued, reasonable wear and tear excepted. Any loss, theft, or damage beyond normal use is the sole responsibility of the Renter. The card on file may be charged for repair or replacement as determined by the Company. Failure to Return If the detector is not returned by the specified deadline, the Renter authorizes the Company to immediately charge the card on file the full current retail replacement price of the detector, in addition to forfeiture of all rental fees paid. Liability & Assumption of Risk Renter acknowledges that metal detecting involves outdoor activity and inherent risks. The Company is not liable for injury, accident, or property damage arising from use of the rental equipment. Renter releases the Company, its owners, staff, and affiliates from all liability connected with the use of the detector. Cancellation Policy Reservations may be canceled prior to the event; however, the initial deposit is non-refundable. No refunds will be issued for unused rental days, late arrivals, or early returns. Agreement to Terms By reserving a detector, providing a card on file, or accepting possession of the equipment, the Renter expressly agrees to these terms and conditions in full.
